This statement explains how The Letting Company (TLC) handles information collected through this website and its enquiry forms.

What we collect and why

When you ask for a rental appraisal, a property management review or other information, we collect the contact and property details you provide. These may include your name, email address, phone number, property address, rental situation, current manager and any notes you choose to share.

We use these details to respond, assess the property or management question, arrange the next steps and keep a record of our dealings with you. We also ask how you heard about TLC so we can understand which sources bring enquiries to us.

Providing this information is voluntary. Without the required contact and property details, we may be unable to respond or prepare a useful appraisal. Please do not include identity documents, financial account details or unnecessary information about tenants or other people in the enquiry form.

Who handles your information

Enquiries are received by TLC at office@thelettingcompany.co.nz and handled by the team members involved in responding to you. We use service providers for our website, email and business records. These providers process or store information to support those services, and some processing may take place outside New Zealand.

Submitting an enquiry is a request for us to contact you about that enquiry. It is not a subscription to a marketing mailing list.

Website measurement and cookies

The website includes Google Analytics and Google advertising tags. Depending on your browser settings, these tools may use cookies and similar technologies to record information such as pages visited, referral sources, device information and interactions with the website.

Keeping information

We aim to keep enquiry information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, our business records or legal obligations. If you become a client or apply for a tenancy, additional information and notices may be needed for that separate process.

Access, corrections and questions

You can ask to access or correct personal information TLC holds about you, or raise a privacy concern, by emailing office@thelettingcompany.co.nz or calling 0800 538 846. Please address privacy requests to the TLC management team. We may need to confirm your identity before providing personal information.
